Message I debated powdercoating the plenum, and stumbled on this solution at a local Z meet. It's a ceramic thermal dispersion coating (more info [here]).

What impressed me most about the ceramic coatings available was the finish durability. This is not like PC, which can chip if struck. I saw a tuned pipe from a motoX bike which was dented in severely, but the surface finish was 99% intact.

The lighting is a little deceptive. The surface has very low reflectivity. I will post pics of the plenum installed within a week or so.

On a humorous note, the guy at the coating shop claimed I would gain 15+ RWHP with this mod. I don't anticipate anywhere near that (in fact, I doubt it will make any noticeable power increase). I purchased it more for durability than anything else. According to this individual, I would get 70 RWHP from swain coating my pistons too... =)

the bottom has slight finish irregularity, but nobody will ever see that again.

I have LOTS of parts in boxes, but I'll spare you guys.
